A little piece of paradise in Halkidiki

Imagine waking up to the sound of the Aegean, stepping outside to pick up warm bread from the local bakery van, and spending your day between secret coves, ancient ruins and the most beautiful sunsets in northern Greece. That's a normal Tuesday here.

Potidea Apartments is a family-run, fully renovated retreat in Nea Potidea (Nea Potidia), right at the gateway to the Kassandra peninsula — the most accessible and vibrant finger of Halkidiki. We're just 500m from an unspoiled Aegean beach, minutes from legendary restaurants, beach clubs and one of Greece's most fascinating ancient sites.

2,600 years of history — right outside your door
The ancient city of Potidea was founded by Corinthians in 600 BC. Athens besieged it in 432 BC — and the philosopher Socrates himself fought bravely in that battle. Philip II of Macedon destroyed it. The canal connecting the two bays was first built around 315 BC. The Byzantine walls still stand at the entrance to Kassandra today. You're not just staying near the beach — you're staying at one of the most significant crossroads in all of Greek history.

Common questions

Check-in is from 5:00 PM and check-out is by 11:00 AM. Early check-in or late check-out can often be arranged if the accommodation is free the day before — just ask us in advance and we'll inform you.
We are in a quiet "villa district" that is purely residential. No nearby markets, restaurants, or cafes, you won't be disturbed by early morning delivery trucks or late-night street noise. You can enjoy your morning coffee in total peace and quiet. We wake up and go to bed with birds songs.
You don't go to the bakery — the bakery comes to you! Every morning between 8 - 9 AM two local bakery’s with buses passes in front of the house and stop if you wave at them. They offer several types of bread, rolls, croissants, bagels, pretzels, pita cream, bougatsa, milk, juice... Everything is delicious and freshly baked! 🥐🍞🥨
During peak season (July–August) we require a minimum of 5 nights. In shoulder season (May–June, September) the minimum is 3 nights.
The sea is 300m but to our closest beach is just 500 metres away — a lovely 5–7 minute walk to the end of the street. The beach has crystal-clear water making with view of Mount Olympus and spectacular sunset every day, it ideal for families with children. Sun beds are available for free.
No, pets aren't allowed. We love animals but we have bad experience. Not all pet parents are same
